October-November 2013
After a series of evenings involving a haunted house that Meghan had to pretend to be scared at to hold Michael’s hand, a movie night watching horror movies that she was actually scared at, climbing the steepest dune in Holland, Michigan, and dancing at the local dive bar, Michael and Meghan fell into a relationship.
2013-2014
They fell for each other in the chaotic way 21 year olds do. Messy and naive and hopeful.
The end of Season 1 was very sad. We won’t talk about that part.
Michael moved to Atlanta and Meghan moved to New York City.
Summer–Fall 2016
Texts started to be sent back and forth, occasionally at first, then more frequently. Finally, plans were made for Michael to visit NYC to see an M83 show with Meghan. The anticipation leading up to that visit was killer.
October 2016
2 years after the breakup, they were standing in front of each other again at Meghan’s front door. Nervous and shaky but with that same special energy. They walked around the city and caught up, went to the M83 show, got pizza, listened to 2 records all the way through, then finally finally, Michael kissed Meghan. And they knew they felt the same.
2016-2018
They traveled back and forth to see each other in New York and Atlanta every month, falling more in love than ever before. They traveled to new cities and countries and held each other tight every chance they could.
February 2018
Michael packed up his life and moved to NYC. They moved into a cute little apartment in Bed-Stuy and learned how to cohabitate after so much time as a long distance couple.
2020
They stayed in the city during COVID lockdown and felt their relationship grow despite the hardships. They adopted the most perfect kitty cat and fell in love with Paprika together.
February 14, 2024
They had a cute Valentine’s Day, getting lunch and affogatos, walking around and being in love. That night they made a heart shaped pizza and danced around their kitchen to love songs. They talked about wanting to spend their lives together and Michael got down on one knee, asking Meghan to marry him.
October 4, 2025
Although they’ve been telling each other for years, they will formally say “I do” to forever in front of all of the people they love. And then they’ll dance the night away and kiss until the sun comes up.
